Uses

Cartoon waterproof Band-Aids are mainly used for the protection and hemostasis of superficial wounds such as small wounds, abrasions, and cuts. Their functions include hemostasis, infection prevention, healing promotion, waterproof protection, and pain relief.

1. Hemostasis: It can quickly absorb blood from the wound to form a blood clot and reduce bleeding.
2. Prevent infection: Block external bacteria and pollutants from entering the wound to reduce the risk of infection.
3. Promote healing: Create a relatively moist and clean environment for the wound, which is conducive to cell growth and repair.
4. Waterproof protection: When in contact with water, keep the wound dry to avoid deterioration of the wound due to water.
5. Relieve pain: It has a certain covering and buffering effect on the wound, thereby reducing pain.

IFU

Proper use of bandages can help protect wounds from contamination and promote wound healing. Here are the steps and precautions for using bandages:
1. Evaluate the wound: First, observe the size, depth and type of the wound to determine whether it is suitable for a bandage. If the wound is deep, bleeding is severe, or there are signs of infection, please seek medical attention as soon as possible.
2. Clean the wound: Before using a bandage, make sure the wound has been cleaned. You can use warm water and soap to gently rinse the wound to remove dirt and bacteria. If conditions permit, you can further disinfect it with disinfectants such as iodine and hydroxide. Avoid using alcohol when cleaning the wound, as alcohol may irritate the wound and delay healing.
3. Choose the right bandage: Choose the appropriate type and size of bandage according to the size, location and personal needs of the wound. For example, a knuckle bandage can be selected for a wound on the finger joint, and a round bandage can be selected for a smaller cut or needle injury.
4. Open the package: Tear the bandage from the package, and be careful not to touch the adsorption layer and adhesive on the bandage to avoid contamination.
5. Apply the bandage: Align the adsorption layer of the bandage to the wound and make sure that the bandage completely covers the wound. Then, gently press the edge of the bandage to make it fit tightly against the skin. Avoid stretching the bandage, as excessive stretching may cause it to fall off.
6. Replace the bandage: Replace the bandage regularly according to the healing of the wound. Generally, if there are no signs of infection in the wound, it is sufficient to replace the bandage once a day. If the bandage is soaked with water or dirt, it should be replaced immediately. When replacing the bandage, observe whether the wound has signs of infection such as redness, swelling, fever, and increased exudate. If there are signs of infection, please seek medical attention in time.
7. Pay attention to wound healing: When the wound is basically healed and there is no risk of infection, the use of bandages can be appropriately reduced to increase the breathability of the wound and promote healing. However, on the hands or areas that are easily contaminated, it may be necessary to continue to use bandages to protect the wound.

Precautions

Cartoon waterproof Band-Aids can play a good role in treating some minor wounds, but for deeper, larger or severely contaminated wounds, medical treatment should be sought in time. When using a Band-Aid, you need to pay attention to the condition of the wound. If there is any abnormality, you should replace it or seek medical treatment in time.
It is not recommended to use a bandage in the following cases:
The wound is deep and needs to be sutured.
·Signs of infection such as redness, swelling, pain, and fever appear around the wound.
·Continued bleeding or excessive exudate from the wound.
·Allergic to the material or adhesive in the bandage.
