Introduction |
The VCare1000-300S Negative Pressure Wound Therapy is a portable, battery-powered pump intended to generate negative pressure or suction to remove wound exudates, infectious material, and tissue debris from the wound bed which may promote wound healing. TheVCare1000-300s system consists of one pump and one AC power cable. Wound dressings,additional canisters (with 140ml, 40oml and 600ml options), carrying cases, and other accessories are sold separately. The VCare1000-300S Negative Pressure Wound Therapy, when used with the proprietary wound dressing, creates a negative pressure environment.
The VCare1000-300S Negative Pressure Wound Therapy and the wound dressing are able to produce a negative pressure environment in continuous or intermittent mode. This allows the user to program the specific pressure ranging from -20mmHg to -200mmHg. In continuous mode,the pressure is applied to the wound as long as the pump is powered on. In variable pressure mode, the pump will provides intermittent pressure in the form of a gentle massage effect eliminating painful high to low spikes characteristic of traditional intermittent pressure

Usage |
1. Chronic Wounds: Pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, venous/arterial leg ulcers.
2. Acute Wounds: Traumatic injuries (lacerations, degloving), large burns, post-surgical wounds, skin grafts.
3. Wound Environment Control: Managing excessive drainage (exudate), reducing bacterial load, controlling odor.
4. Wound Preparation: Reducing wound size/edema for better closure (grafting or surgical).
5. Securing Grafts: Holding skin grafts in place to prevent maceration.

Instructions for use
|
1. Clean the wound with saline and the wound edge skin shall be wiped dry.
2. Cut the appropriate black foam size according to the size of the wound and put it in wound.
3. Open the sterile packaging, peel release paper, and place pu film drape to cover black foam and fix it in skin.
4. Make a small cut in pu film of the center of black foam.
5. Peel off release paper of suction pad and fix suction pad in cut of pu film.
6. Attach the drainage port/tube to the dressing and the therapy unit (pump).
7. Turn on the device and set the prescribed negative pressure (e.g., continuous or intermittent). Handle based on the products manual.

Precautions |
The VCare1000-300S Negative Pressure Wound Therapy should NOT be used in the following conditions:
1. Exposed vessels, organs, or nerves.
2. Anastomotic sites.
3. Exposed arteries or veins in a wound. All exposed vessels and organs in and around the wound must be completely covered prior to initiation of NPWT.Note: A thick layer of natural tissue is preferred. Several layers of fine meshed non-adherent material or bio-engineered tissue may be an alternative. Ensure that protective materials will maintain their position throughout therapy.Fistulas, unexplored or non-enteric.
4. Malignancy in the wound. The system may be used after excision of malignancy if all margins are clear.
5. Excess amount of necrotic tissue with eschar.Note: The system may be used with a minimal amount of slough or after debridement of necrotic tissue.
6. Wounds which are too large or too deep to be accommodated by the dressing.
7. Inability to be followed by a medical professional or to keep scheduled appointments.
8. Allergy to urethane dressings and adhesives.
9. Use of topical products which must be applied more frequently than the dressing change schedule allows.
